About International Baccalaureate (IB)
Founded in 1968, the International Baccalaureate (IB) is a nonprofit foundation, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The International Baccalaureate offers four high quality international education programmes to more than 1.4 million students aged 3 to 19 across the globe. The IB programmes can be offered individually or as a continuum of international education. These programmes develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed.

Programmes offered by IB
The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers a continuum of international education through four high quality educational programmes. Listed below are the programmes with age range.
- PYP (Primary Year Programme) : 3 – 12 years (Nursery to Grade 5)
- MYP (Middle Years Programme) : 11 – 16 years (Grade 6 to 10; Equivalent to 10th Board)
- DP (Diploma Programme) : 16 – 19 years (Grade 11 – 12; Equivalent to 12th Board)
- Career-related Programme : 16 – 19 years
